This is my personal favorite, offering because of its simple preparation and taste delicious. Honestly I think this is one of the best if not the best recipe for Apple Crisp on the web. This is a perfect dessert, and is ideal for any occasion. So get started!
Preparation: 20 minutes Pieces: 12 Total Time: 55 minutes
What you need:
8 cups thinly sliced and peeledApples (about 2 pounds or 900g)
02:01 cup firmly packed brown sugar, divided
2 tsp. Cinnamon, divided
03:01 Cup cooking old-fashioned or quick oats
04:01 Cup non-hydrogenated margarine
1 cup Shortcake Biscuits, crushed
1-1/2 cups thawed COOL WHIP topping mounted
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
In a 9-inch square baking pan, mix the apples parking space for 1 / 4 cup of brown sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon
Combine oats, remaining04:01 cup of brown sugar and 1 tsp. Cinnamon in a medium bowl.
Cut in margarine with two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add the biscuit crumbs and mix well. Then the crumb mixture evenly apples.
Put in oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until apples become soft.
Top of the Apple Crisp with whipped cream
Tip: If you want more taste and do not mind the involvement of more fiber in your diet, try sprinkling with half Apple CrispCup chopped pecans.
The only downside to this recipe, I can imagine is that your family and friends always start to desire the heavenly taste of this delicious apple crisp. This can cause regularly prepare this cake. ;)
