In a world of instant mixes, frozen dinners and fast food, the simple pleasure of making bread has almost been forgotten. From early childhood I have fond memories of my mother and grandmothers and yeast bread dough and savory bread rolls for meals, the bread of sweat for dessert. bread baking, like sewing, crochet, knit, and is quickly becoming a lost art, but the truth is that the dough does not take much more of a cake mix.
Hmm, coolYeast bread! The smell fills the whole house, so that all occur within the scents in the kitchen, hoping that a piece of hot butter, bread yeast. For as long as I can remember, has the smell of bread was a reassuring sign of the country.
There are many things that come to mind when I think of the bread my grandmother's old stories of times they were bread and cheese, or even worse, bread and water, all that was available to eat Jesus blessed the five loaves and fed5,000 men (women and children were not counted), the unleavened bread of the memory of the place of Christ offered, that the world is at peace with God, the bread and butter toast in the oven on a cold winter morning, I first punched down the dough, then baked and served the bread to my new husband. . . Many things come to mind that I think spending a whole, clear morning and enjoy the smell of bread rising and baking. Even bread dough(Bread with yeast or a combination of baking soda and buttermilk instead of sour dough yeast), like my mother's corn bread with hot chestnuts (Pinto) beans served to give a feeling of home and belonging.
Grocery stores have long sold cardboard cake mix on the shelves (I confess that I had occasion to use one of them.). For some time they also mix different types of bread sold, biscuit mixes, cornbread mixes, yeast rolls and frozen. While this is usually in order, are not simply give your home the feel of hand, fresh bread. The variety of pre-, brown-in-the-oven.
No time to bake bread? While the bread yeast take some time, after all, they must rise, bread recipes, many not much, if anything, more of a mix. For example, use a mix of corn bread, you open the package and pour into a bowl, eggs, oil and milk. To the front of the corn bread, corn bread extent, flour, salt andBaking powder in bowl and add eggs, oil and milk. While it might take an extra 03:58 points to measure the difference in taste is amazing! Another example would be homemade cookies. For biscuits from scratch, flour, salt and yeast in bowl, milk and oil to be measured. Depending on the biscuit mix you buy, you can open the package and pour into bowl, or open the container and measure the quantity in the bowl, thenAdd oil and milk. There is not much difference?
Nor is it, like many other "whampum" biscuits (store-bought roll cans refrigerator biscuits). Even with these, you must open them and put them in the pan. Frozen biscuits could be faster, but again, differences in taste is remarkable.
